Julia Hiebaum

Julia was born in Vienna, Austria, lived in Milan, Italy, and moved to La Jolla, California in 2007.

Having worked in fashion for over twenty years in Milan, she mastered her sense for esthetics which led to her pursuit of photography .

Throughout her extensive travels, she gathered inspirational perspectives of life’s unique moments, which are reflected in her work.

Julia is a fine art and editorial photographer as well as a contributor to several renowned stock agencies. She is an awarded artist and her photography has been featured in various exhibitions around California and the U.S. Her images are published in both editorial and commercial print internationally.

Through my photographic images I aim to express a strong sense of aesthetics and harmonious balance while capturing the playful poetry that is revealed in small details or hidden in unexpected forma and shapes. I‘m often drawn to rich, vibrant colors in my subjects but occasionally I enjoy to express my creativity with monochromatic hues.
